Who We Are!
“You Are My Kind Of Crazy” is the foundation on which The Band Wanted was built. It is also their first award winning song won with the World Songwriting Awards in 2020. Beginning their journey together as a band in Colorado in 2016. Joshua and Candy Carpenter are the hearts behind The Band Wanted, performing mostly country music made famous by Little Big Town, Ashley McBryde and other popular favorites! Each show is full of energy, leaving the audience wanting more. Their music is strongly influenced by Alison Kraus, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, The Dead South, CCR, and Journey, they bring a wide variety of music to every show. The vision for the band continues to grow with each show and through each audience member. Their dedicated and growing fanbase of Outlaws catapulted them into Atlanta, Georgia - winning yet another award with the International Singer Songwriters Association for Vocal Duo Of The Year in 2023, 2024 and 2025 winning “Video of the Year” for their video “Tombstone”! Throughout their career they have received several finalist and honorable mentions for their music including their songs “8 Seconds” and “Still Alive”. Joshua and Candy are loved for their harmonies both on and off the stage. Telling stories though music, one song at a time!
